Resume Structure and Format

Keep your yoga resume clean and centered, just like your practice. One page is usually perfect for most instructors with under 8 years of experience. If you've been teaching for decades or have extensive specialized training, two pages max.

  • Use clean fonts like Calibri, Arial, or Georgia (11-12pt)
  • Include plenty of white space - crowded resumes feel chaotic

Professional Experience

This section should highlight where you've taught and what you've accomplished. Don't just list responsibilities - show your impact!

  • Include studio names, locations, and dates
  • Note class types, levels, and average class sizes
  • Mention special workshops or series you developed
  • Quantify when possible (grew attendance by 27%, maintained 85% retention rate)
  • Highlight private client work or corporate programs

For newer teachers: Include your teaching practicums, volunteer classes, or community events where you've taught. These totally count as experience!

Education and Certifications
