Resume Structure and Format

Keep your resume clean and precisely structured—just like a well-tailored garment.

  • Length: Stick to one page unless you have 10+ years of experience
  • Font: Choose readable fonts like Calibri or Georgia at 10-12pt
  • Margins: 0.5-1 inch all around (don’t crowd the page!)
  • Sections: Contact info, summary, experience, skills, education
  • File format: Submit as PDF to preserve formatting

Pro tip: Many tailors make the mistake of using fancy design elements that confuse ATS systems. Remember, your creativity should shine through your work portfolio, not necessarily your resume format!
