Resume Structure and Format
Keep your resume clean and organized—just like your toolbox. A cluttered resume is as troublesome as a messy workbench.
- Stick to 1-2 pages (one page for those with under 5 years of experience)
- Use clear section headings: Summary, Experience, Skills, Certifications, Education
- Choose readable fonts like Arial or Calibri in 11-12pt size
- Include plenty of white space—cramming everything together makes it hard to read
- Use reverse chronological order for your work history (newest jobs first)
